There's been a relative neglect of this race across the national left blogosphere, despite a lot of local excitement for Winograd. This is clearly an important race to the evil corporations backing Harman -- they're not sparing any expense. She dominates the airwaves thanks the largesse of her corporate sponsors. (Her ads have been running all over L.A., not just in the district.) If Harman wins it will be because the national progressive movement failed to understand -- as the bad guys obviously do -- how important this race is.
For voters in the South Bay: anyone who votes for Jane Harman is endorsing the Iraq War and the bankruptcy reform and deserves to be enslaved by the banks and defense corporations that Jane Harman represents. I hope for the sake of everyone who still wants to be free that the spineless don't make up a voting majority in CA-36 today.
Two episodes are up now, with more on the way every other week. This week's episode: Wiretapping.
The State of the Union 2006 parody is taking off just before the real one. My thanks to Matt Stoller and everyone else up here in the blogosphere!
For those who were unable to see the flash animation version at YouTube, it's also up on ifilm and as a Quicktime file here. I also suggest pausing it to let the file load completely before playing.
Watch this hilarious take on the State of the Union, with James Adomian doing a hilarious, spot-on impression of President George W. Bush!
This should be fun to screen as a warmup before your SOTU viewing parties.
